Combination ATV & Horseback Riding Tour in Cairns Australia

A fantastic morning horse ride through the rainforest and Australian native forest, BBQ lunch, then off to Kuranda (if you choose) or looking around the farm and it's other attractions. In the afternoon it's back on tour in the hot seat of your own ATV fun machine.

Our horses are exceptionally well treated and maintained and all have a friendly nature (like our tour guides!) We will match each guest with a horse that compliments the riders experience and ability. Our Honda TRX250 ATV's are very well maintained and are powerful enough to let you feel great acceleration and grunt. They are ultra maneuverable and as safe as possible.

The ride itself which is on a trail separate from the horse rides is exciting and has great views. There are a few water traps and hill climbs to negotiate. You will be trained first and then examined to see if you can handle the power and then we let you loose on the trail (under guided supervision).

There is a smaller bike option for people not comfortable with the larger quad bikes.

Tour commences through the bushland surrounding the complex. Native Australian forest and rainforest surroundings provide interesting and adventurous trails as well as many native animals and birds. Spectacular lookouts over Palm Cove, islands and beaches provide many excellent photo opportunities.

~ Bus ride to Kuranda for look around or alternatively stay at farm to look at other attractions such as the farm animals, ant mounds, stage coach and sheep dog trial.

Tour commences with an exciting obstacle course. This gives drivers a chance to improve their skills with steering and handling their ATV. After the fun of the short course, we then venture into the forest through beautiful tree-lined trails and up to wonderful lookouts.

~ Long pants
~ Covered shoes (no thongs or trail sandals, runners are OK)
~ At least a T-Shirt (no Singlets or sleeveless shirts)

Helmets will be provided to all riders. No experience necessary. No license required.

General Information:

~~ Located 35 minutes west of Cairns, we offer free transfers from Cairns and the Northern Beaches.
~~ Absolutely no experience is necessary however, we do divide groups to cater for the more experienced riders.
~~ From pickup point to drop off point this tour is approximately 10 hours in duration. This includes transfers, meals, safety lesson and approximately 2 hours on your horse (generally covering about 4 to 5 kilometres).
~~ Generally we have a minimum of 1 guide to 4 or 5 customers.
~~ We can take up to 50 people on our horseriding tour and 30 people on our ATV tour. Groups are usually kept to a maximum of 12 people unless a larger group specifically requested. We operate with a minimum of 2 people per trip.
~~ All of our senior guides are well versed in horse and ATV riding. They are genuine and friendly and will ensure that you are at ease.
~~ We always have a Japanese speaking guide on duty.
~~ Our guides are happy to take photos with your camera. We also have a professional photographer on site.

Our Horses

~~ We have 65 fabulous healthy horses. All with individual characters and great temperaments.
~~ We stable mainly Australian Stock Horses but we also have a selection of Quarter Horses, Arabians and many others.
~~ We have a great variety of sizes of horses but most of our horses would average 14 to 15 hands high.
~~ Our guides will give you an introduction to your horse so you feel comfortable before you leave the lesson area.
~~ Our saddles are Australian Stock Saddles. We are the only horseriding company to exclusively use "Saferider" stirrups with a quick release mechanism to prevent accidents.

Our ATV Vehicles

~~ We have 20 Honda TRX 250 ATV's and 12 Honda TRX 90 ATV's.
~~ No license is necessary to ride an ATV. These machines are easy to ride and our obstacle course will help you improve your skill.
~~ We have a 1 year replacement schedule for our ATV's so they are all 1 year or less.
